I'm using the Training Form (SF 182, DD 1556, etc) to pay for my conference, can you give me any tips?

If you are planning to use the Training Form option of payment for the conference, please note the following procedure and comprehensive information:

NTC Registration Form

Each attendee must submit a NTC registration form as per http://dhhig.org/ntc/ntcreg.asp?eid=16#online . If you have any special needs, please note them on the registration form.

At the time of registration, your registration must be in PAID status. You can check your payment status by getting your latest registration receipt at http://dhhig.org/ntc/ntcreg.asp?m=receipt&eid=16#online and you will be prompted to enter your email address and 4-digit code that you used in your registration form. If it is not in PAID status, we must receive both the registration form and payment information: either credit card information or completed training form (Standard Form (SF) 182, Department of Defense (DD) 1556, or equivalent).

When you arrive to the conference registration booth, your registration is not complete until we receive both the NTC conference registration form and payment information (either credit card or an approved training form).

NTC Conference registration does NOT include hotel accommodations. You must make your own room reservations.

Methods of Payment

The preferred method of payment is to charge the conference fees to a government credit card. We can accept only Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards at the time you paying credit card purchase on your training form. You do not need an SF 182 if you are paying by credit card.

If you do not pay by credit card, we will bill your agency. If your agency wants us to bill it, you must submit the SF 182 (or DD 1556 or equivalent) with your conference registration form.

SF 182 or DD1556

Please read http://dhhig.org/ntc/NTC_TrainingF.asp and it is important that you complete ALL BLOCKS on the SF 182. The "trainer" or "vendor" is the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Government (DHHIG). Be sure to complete all blocks on the SF 182, including complete accounting information in Block 21 and your agency's ALC in Block 24. In item 25, include the finance office designation and phone number.

Sponsors

Who do I contact about sponsoring National Training Conference (NTC) event?

Please contact ntcsponsors@dhhig.org. If you are unable to contact, please contact Chairperson directly to refer to the sponsorship coordinator.

We use an initial screening process, interpreters’ professional discretion, and the information we get from requestors to make decisions about which interpreters to place on assignments.

Where do I fill out a sponsor form?

Please go to sponsor tab on the NTC page or click here and you will see sponsor form there. Click on it and it will open up then follow instructions where to send the form to.

I already have an exhibit booth, can I still sponsor?

Absolutely! You can! Important, please contact ntcsponsors@dhhig.org and fill out both exhibit booth form under exhibit tab through NTC page (if you haven't done that) and sponsor form under sponsor tab through NTC page. Then send both forms to ntcsponsors@dhhig.org and the sponsor coordinator will direct forms to appropriate person(s). As an Exhibitor and Sponsor, you will be given the opportunity to market through a logo on the web page and in the program book. Just a note, for exhibitors who are not sponsoring; you will be listed as an exhibitor in the program book & day to day basis booklet without an advertisement and logo.

Can I offer money-in-kind sponsor?

Absolutely! We need funds for some optional things we hope to cover to benefit the Conference and provide the best possible experience for the NTC registrants. Please contact ntcsponsors@dhhig.org for more information.

I am a small business vendor with limited money, can I sponsor at small amount?

Absolutely! Please look up the sponsor menu at the bottom of sponsor page through NTC web page. It has list of sponsor levels you can choose from. Either promotional sponsor (any amount under $500) or honorable mention sponsor ($750) would fit small business vendor's needs.

What will I get in exchange for sponsoring the NTC?

Logo in the program book and on a CD, logo on the NTC web page, and day to day basis booklet (3 days) and vendor ad in the program book at a specific size based on what sponsor level vendor chooses. In addition, the two biggest sponsor levels (diamond and platinum) will have their logos on the main DHHIG page along with the NTC web page.

How do I make my check payable to DHHIG?

Please make check payable to DHHIG-NTC 2009, P.O. Box 76087, Washington, D.C. 20013-6087. Please note: We encourage paying by check when it is a large amount. The merchant credit card fee we pay is thus avoided. (We pay a percentage fee based on the amount paid to us to the credit card company to collect the funds. This reduces the amount we actually get in our bank account.)

As a sponsor, can I pay electronically online instead of mail?

Yes, any sponsor can! It is under "Join DHHIG" tab and Donation Form menu or click at this linke http://www.dhhig.org/joinDHHIG.asp?c=donate. Remember, in addition, to fill out the sponsor form, which is important. Please note: We encourage paying by check when it is a large amount. The merchant credit card fee we pay is thus avoided. (We pay a percentage fee based on the amount paid to us to the credit card company to collect the funds. This reduces the amount we actually get in our bank account.)
