Invitation to Respond to a Call for Proposal
General Proposal
DHHIG is proud to present the twelfth “NTC” conference-- National Training Conference (NTC) 2009, which is designed to foster innovation, learning, and practice in the employment of individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. It serves managers, employees, prospective applicants, human resources, EEO, and IT professionals who recognize the need to remain current on issues affecting employees who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Participants include representatives from the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, and hearing communities (including signers and non-signers) and everyone from the entry level employee to the SES leader will benefit from attending this meeting! A call for proposals is below.
OVERVIEW
NTC 2009 aims to provide numerous opportunities to share, learn, and participate in conversations about employment of people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. New and innovative formats for information sharing will be utilized at this year’s conference, including colleague-to-colleague presentations, technology demonstrations, and a poster session. These dynamic presentations and interactive, hands-on workshops are intended to enhance professional development for DHHIG members and other guests. The conference committee is seeking ideas from the community on keynote speakers, workshop topics and speakers, and panel leaders/panelists.
